These terms govern purchases through our website. Please read them with the product description, order summary, Delivery Policy, Warranty and Returns Policy, and Privacy Policy presented before you order. You may save a copy for your records.

Nothing in these terms removes or restricts a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Sri Lankan law. If a policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, that requirement prevails. Specific written promises made for your purchase remain binding; a general disclaimer does not cancel them.

2. Ordering and customer information

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract, or have a parent or guardian place the order on your behalf. Provide accurate contact, billing and delivery information and use a payment method you are authorised to use.

Before submitting an order, check the model, quantity, condition, specifications, delivery address, payment method and total. Contact us promptly if you discover an error.

An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order. We separately confirm acceptance after checking availability and payment authorisation, or after confirming a cash-on-delivery order. Taking payment alone does not replace our acceptance message. If we cannot accept a prepaid order, we will notify you and refund the amount collected without unreasonable delay.

We may decline an order for genuine stock unavailability, inability to deliver to the requested location, failed payment verification, or reasonable evidence of fraud. We will explain the reason where it is lawful. We will not substitute a different product or increase an agreed price without your consent.

3. Product descriptions and condition

Check each listing for its exact specifications, included accessories, condition and warranty provider. Products will be identified as new, used, refurbished or open-box, as applicable.

For refurbished or used items, including imported consoles, the listing will identify relevant cosmetic wear, known functional limitations, replacement parts where material, included accessories and any disclosed battery condition. Refurbished does not mean brand-new or manufacturer-refurbished unless expressly stated.

Photographs may illustrate a model, but the delivered product must match the agreed description. Material differences, including colour, capacity, condition or accessory changes, require your agreement before dispatch.

Compatibility depends on the stated hardware and software requirements. If you need a product for a particular purpose, tell us before ordering so we can confirm suitability. This does not exclude responsibility for compatibility advice we provide or claims in our listings.

4. Prices, offers and payment

Prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). The total payable, including applicable taxes, delivery charges and any disclosed payment-related charges, will be shown before you confirm your purchase. Optional extras require your agreement.

Promotion eligibility, duration and relevant restrictions will be displayed with the offer. We do not add undisclosed charges after checkout. If a genuine listing error affects your order, we will explain it and seek an agreed solution consistent with applicable law; we will not automatically debit an increased amount.

Available payment options are those shown at checkout. These may include cash on delivery, online card payments through the displayed payment provider, and Koko or Mint Pay instalments where offered. Provider approval, eligibility and separate payment terms may apply. Review any instalment schedule and charges before agreeing.

Payment-provider terms do not replace our responsibilities as the seller. If an instalment purchase is cancelled or refunded, we will coordinate the merchant-side adjustment and explain its status. Do not assume instalments have stopped until the provider confirms the adjustment.

We issue an order record or receipt showing the items and charges. Keep it for support and warranty claims; other reasonable evidence of purchase may also be accepted.

5. Delivery and collection

We deliver within Sri Lanka to locations supported by our courier partners. The checkout or order confirmation will state the delivery charge and estimated timeframe. A pre-order, special order or custom build may require a different timeframe, which we will disclose before acceptance.

Delivery estimates are not a reason to delay an order indefinitely. We will notify you of material delays and offer a reasonable revised arrangement or cancellation and refund where appropriate or legally required.

We remain your contact for parcels lost or damaged before delivery to you or your nominated recipient. You do not have to resolve our courier claim yourself before we address your purchase.

For collection, wait until we confirm that the order is ready. We may ask for reasonable proof that the person collecting is authorised.

If delivery fails because the supplied address is wrong or nobody is available, we will contact you. Any reasonable redelivery charge must be explained and agreed before another attempt. This does not apply where the failure was ours or the courier's.

6. Cancellations and change-of-mind returns

Contact us promptly with your order number if you wish to cancel. We will permit withdrawal where appropriate and practicable, including ordinary stock orders that have not been dispatched or subjected to an expressly agreed customisation process.

After dispatch, a cancellation may need to be handled as a special type of return. Our voluntary change-of-mind policy is: we will refund the payment of the product excluding the shipping/courier fee. Any voluntary restrictions must be disclosed before purchase and do not apply to rights concerning faulty, unsafe, incorrect or misdescribed goods.

For custom-built PCs, special imports or personalised work, we will explain cancellation conditions before you commit. Any proposed deduction for work already authorised must be lawful, reasonable, itemised and disclosed in advance. Deposits are not automatically forfeited. Where we cannot supply the agreed product, we will refund amounts due.

7. Incorrect, damaged or faulty goods

Contact us as soon as reasonably possible if your item is incorrect, missing parts, damaged, unsafe or faulty. Provide your order details and a description; photographs or video may help. An unboxing video is not a mandatory condition for a valid claim, and failure to report within an arbitrary short period does not automatically remove legal rights.

We may reasonably inspect the item to identify the fault. We will explain the assessment and arrange the remedy appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law, which may include repair, replacement, refund or another legally required remedy.

Where the issue is our responsibility, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable necessary return delivery costs. We will not charge a restocking fee for a justified defective, incorrect or misdescribed-product return.

Please contact us for return instructions and use secure packaging. Original packaging is helpful, but its absence alone will not invalidate a statutory claim. Stop using an item if continued use could cause injury or further damage.

8. Warranty and after-sales support

Electrical and electronic goods, appliances, devices and accessories covered by the applicable Consumer Affairs Authority direction carry at least a six-month warranty. Our warranty period begins when you receive the item. Any longer warranty expressly offered for your purchase will be honoured.

The product listing and warranty documentation will identify the coverage period, provider and claim process. Warranty conditions will be provided in Sinhala, Tamil and English as required. Refurbished, imported or discounted status does not by itself remove applicable legal protections.

Warranty covers faults within the stated coverage arising during normal use. Exclusions may apply to damage actually caused by misuse, burn marks, accidental impact, liquid ingress, incompatible power supplies, or unauthorised alterations. We will explain the connection between any alleged excluded cause and the fault; unrelated modifications do not automatically invalidate every claim. Ordinary wear may fall outside warranty, but this does not excuse a premature defect or a product that fails to meet its description.

Back up personal data and remove accounts before sending a device for repair where practicable. Tell us if you cannot do so. We will explain if a reset or data-erasing procedure is needed. This request does not exclude responsibility for our own failure to exercise legally required care.

We will provide an estimated assessment or repair timeframe and updates on significant delays. A manufacturer's process does not remove obligations that the law places on us as the seller. Store credit is offered only with your agreement and will not replace a refund to which you are entitled.

9. Refund process

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method. For cash-on-delivery purchases, we will agree on a suitable repayment method and verify the recipient's details. Warranty claim will always be the priority over a refund and a refund needs to be requested within 1 week of purchase and thereafter will be considered as a warranty claim only.

Our target for initiating an approved refund is 5-7 business days, subject to any shorter legally required period. Bank or payment-provider processing may take additional time; we will supply confirmation or a reference when available. We will not delay deciding a valid claim unreasonably.

The refund will include delivery charges and other amounts where legally required or where the entire order is cancelled because we cannot fulfil it. We will explain any lawful deduction before processing. A compulsory voucher or store-credit alternative will not be imposed.

10. Software, games and digital features

Listings will identify software or digital content expressly included in a purchase and any relevant subscription, regional or account requirements. Buying hardware does not automatically grant rights to every game or third-party service it can run.

We remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of our own advertised inclusions. Third-party availability may change, but that does not remove remedies relating to a feature or service we expressly promised. Product-specific digital delivery or activation conditions must be presented before purchase.

11. Accounts, privacy and communications

Keep your account credentials secure and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. We may take proportionate steps to protect an account or investigate suspected misuse without removing legitimate purchase or warranty rights.

Our Privacy Policy explains the personal information collected, why it is used, relevant service providers, retention, security and contact options. We will make it available when collecting personal information. You may review and request correction of your account details through your account or by contacting us.

Order confirmations, delivery updates and warranty communications relate to your purchase. Promotional email or SMS choices are separate, and an accessible opt-out will be provided. Agreeing to these terms is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing or unrestricted data sharing.

12. Reviews and website use

Reviews should reflect real experiences. We apply the same moderation criteria to positive and negative feedback. We may remove spam, threats, personal information or demonstrably fraudulent content, but will not remove a review simply because it is critical. Any review incentive will be disclosed and will not require a positive opinion.

Do not use the website for fraud, malicious code, unauthorised access or interference with other users. Website materials and third-party brands remain the property of their respective rights holders. You may retain order records and policy copies for personal reference.

13. Responsibility and events outside our control

We are responsible for meeting our contractual commitments and applicable legal duties. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, legally non-excludable negligence, unsafe products, or other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

If an event outside our reasonable control disrupts fulfilment, we will explain the effect, take reasonable steps to reduce the delay and discuss available alternatives. Such an event does not automatically permit us to keep payment for goods we do not supply.

14. Complaints and applicable law

Send complaints to hi@buildmypc.lk or contact +94 76 070 9990 with your order number and requested resolution. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5-7 business days and provide an initial substantive response.

You may contact the Consumer Affairs Authority or pursue other available legal remedies without first completing our internal process. Statutory complaint deadlines may apply; our discussions do not extend those deadlines. CAA information is available at caa.gov.lk.

Sri Lankan law governs these terms. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts or authorities in Sri Lanka, without restricting any mandatory consumer remedy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future transactions by publishing a revised effective date. The terms and specific promises accepted for an existing order continue to apply unless a lawful change is expressly agreed or required by law. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
